The White HousePublic Preference for a GOP Congress Marks a New Low in Obama’s Approval

Frustrated and the most agonized American public – that has been waiting since years for economic recovery- has ranked the sitting President as a career low in the ABC News/Washington Post poll. It is said that the people of United States have chosen Republicans to set vigilant watch over the policies of the President.

The survey result shows that 53 percent people wish to give the control of congress to Republicans as a counter balance to his policies. Actually people are politically mature now. However, they do not want democrats to lead the congress.

Apart from this, it has been noticed that President Obama has lost his value before the eyes of the young adult. According to survey, 41 percent young Americans do not give him the same degree of importance that was being given few years ago.

Actually, the sudden change in opinion among the people is due to the economic crisis. The survey shows that 71 percent Americans hold the view that Obama’s economic policies are not progressive. On the other hand, 28 percent people hold the opinion that the economy of the country is slowly improving and everything is smoothly sailing.

No doubt, economic views are grossly linked with political preferences. It is said that Obama’s approval rating has gone down from 46 percent to 26 and this is not good for his political popularity.  Besides, the survey claims that 46 Americans disapprove the decisions taken by the President to handle the Ukraine situation.

Contrary to this, Republicans are speedily improving their image before the public. The survey claims that Republicans have got 9 points advantage to handle the federal-deficit and they have 7 points trust margin over the democrats.

Last but not the least, a majority of the Americans thinks that the country is economically simmering and the policies of Obama administration are not good.
